Dice la tradici©Øon que luego de crearse el mundo, el tlacuache decidi©Øo ir en busca del fuego para regal©Øarselo a los hombres. Atraves©Øo varios pueblos y lleg©Øo a la cima de una monta©Þna para robar una brasa a la Se©Þnora Lumbre. "Con el fuego los hombres fueron hombres y fue as©Øi como empez©Øo la historia". Esta leyenda, analizada por el maestro Alfredo L©Øopez Austin, aparece en varias tradiciones ind©Øigenas. La versi©Øon que se propone est©Øa dirigida a los ni©Þnos mexicanos con el fin de que no olviden las tradiciones y leyendas de su cultura y as©Øi mantenerlas vigentes entre las nuevas generaciones.
Tradition says that after the world was created, the Tlacuache (opossum) decided to go in search of fire as a gift to men. He went through several villages and came to the top of a mountain to steal a coal from Mrs. Fire. "With the fire men were men and that's how the story began." This legend, analyzed by Maestro Alfredo L©Øopez Austin, appears in several indigenous traditions.
This is an opossum. This animal has hardly changed since it appeared 50 million years ago. It is one of the oldest mammals on earth and with his skillful hands, it can circumvent locks.
